Wooyu Ceramics is a small ceramic studio founded by twin sisters Julia and Stela Woo. Our journey began in late 2019 at Eugenio Alvim Atelier in Brasília, Brazil, where we learned the art of pottery under the guidance of our mentor and biggest supporter, Eugenio Alvim.

As graphic designers and freelance illustrators, we both experienced burnout in our careers, and pottery became a way to reignite our creative passions. It offered us a space to experiment and explore new forms of artistic expression, with clay becoming a medium through which we could transform our imaginations into something tangible.

Our ceramics reflect our deep love for art, nature, and the nostalgic things we cherished as children. Every piece we create is handmade with care and attention to detail, ensuring that each item carries a personal touch.

In late 2024, we moved from Brazil to Los Angeles, California, where we established our own pottery studio. At Wooyu Ceramics, we invite you to discover the beauty of our handcrafted creations—born from a blend of creativity, memory, and the magic of clay.
